This paper aims to explore the relationship between the construction of ideological and political courses in ethnic areas of colleges and universities and the strengthening of the sense of community among the Chinese nation. By analyzing the definition and characteristics of ideological and political courses, as well as the connotation and importance of the sense of community in the Chinese nation, we delve into the role of ideological and political courses in ethnic areas of colleges and universities in fostering a strong sense of community among the Chinese nation. We also discuss the challenges faced in this process and propose corresponding strategies. Finally, we summarize the main points of the paper and provide prospects for future research.
