With the rapid development of information technology, digital transformation has become a key factor in driving the sustained growth and competitiveness of the tourism industry. This paper systematically analyzes the main driving factors of digital transformation in the tourism industry, including the impetus of technological innovation and changes in consumer behavior and expectations, and provides a detailed assessment of the current application of digital technologies in the industry. Additionally, the paper discusses the major challenges faced in information management in practical operations, such as the integration of information systems, data security and privacy protection, and issues related to technology updates and staff training. In response to these challenges, this paper proposes a series of innovative strategies to promote information management and digital transformation in the tourism industry, thereby improving service quality and operational efficiency.
