ABSTRACT

The entrepreneurial economy has become an important driver of China's economic development. With the rapid growth of the number of entrepreneurs, gender and geographic differences in the data of entrepreneurs have gradually emerged. Therefore, the aim of this article is to investigate the gender and geographical inequalities in social resources in entrepreneurial activities based on CGSS Questionnaire Survey and Group Rural Fixed Observation Point Data. Based on the empirical study, we analyze the differences in social resources between male and female, rural and urban entrepreneurs, and the factors influencing these two inequalities from both social capital and human capital perspectives in this article. The results of the study show that women and farmers have social resource disadvantages in entrepreneurial activities compared to male and urban entrepreneur due to socio-cultural constraints. The article points out the causes of the two inequalities in the context of Chinese social culture and provides targeted suggestions for the development of entrepreneurial incentive policies.
