ABSTRACT

Depression, also known as depressive disorder, is a disease characterized by a persistent low mood. The incidence rate has been increasing year by year and has become an important part of social and psychological issues. Zhu Danxi's theory on Qi stagnation syndrome, based on inheriting from predecessors, has its own unique theory on Qi stagnation and has many discussions on the prescription and medication of Qi stagnation syndrome, which has a great influence on the research and development of Qi stagnation syndrome in later generations. There is a certain connection between the two, but there are also many differences. By comparing and contrasting depression and Zhu Danxi's Qi stagnation syndrome, understanding the root causes of the disease's occurrence and development can better guide clinical treatment.
