ABSTRACT

Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder, which usually causes great physical and psychological harm and economic pressure to children and their families. This paper focuses on reviewing the literature on the treatment of IDD with head-jin acupuncture (Jiao's head acupuncture + Jin's three acupuncture) over the past 10 years at home and abroad, analysing and summarising the important role of head-jin acupuncture in the treatment of IDD and its exact efficacy; and the combination of head-jin acupuncture with other traditional Chinese medicine therapies enriches the means and methods of its treatment, and also provides a new way of thinking for the treatment in the future, which is of broader significance. It also provides us with new ideas for future treatment and has a broader development prospect.
