Research Progress in the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome by Chinese and Western Medicine

ABSTRACT

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a reproductive endocrine disorder with clinical manifestations such as scanty menstruation, amenorrhoea, infertility, obesity, hirsutism and acne. There are many clinical treatments for polycystic ovary syndrome. This article reviews the recent research progress in the treatment of PCOS in terms of lifestyle, pharmacological treatment, acupuncture treatment and surgical treatment.
