ABSTRACT

The story of "Cinderella" in the "Grimm's Fairy Tales" has been extensively popularized, featuring characters with a lasting and profound impact, while numerous live-action adaptations have emerged over recent years. In this paper, the feminism perspective of the "Cinderella" fairy tale and its film adaptation will be taken into account to explore the evolution of the prescribed female image conveyed by the ideology of patriarchal culture to the new female image of pursuing self-happiness after the awakening of the independent and equal self-consciousness of females, as well as the reflected cultural characteristics.
