ABSTRACT

The Ansai waist drum is a traditional folk art form originating from Shaanxi Province and is an important part of the local culture. It incorporates elements of dance and martial arts movements, creating a unique and magnificent style that reflects the simple and optimistic nature of the people of Shaanxi. As time has passed, the original military function of the waist drum has disappeared, and it has evolved into a form of entertainment and fitness. Today, people perform and enjoy the Ansai waist drum in various social gatherings and activities, as well as in spontaneously organized community events.
