ABSTRACT

Based on the perspective of Marxist development, this study explores the relationship between the unique advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the modernization of university governance. The research findings reveal that the unique advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics are mainly manifested in the special strengths in leadership and management, which have significant impacts on and roles in the modernization of university governance. Firstly, the development perspective of Marxism enables the socialist system with Chinese characteristics to accurately adapt to the trends of the times and provide clear and comprehensive guidance for the modernization of university governance. Secondly, the national organizational construction and the core leadership position enable the socialist system with Chinese characteristics to play a leading role in university governance and promote the optimization of governance structure and the enhancement of governance capacity. At the same time, the modernization of university governance also promotes the manifestation and enhancement of the unique advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. The modern governance practices and institutional development provide better conditions and support for the transformation and utilization of the unique advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. By deeply analyzing the logical relationship between the unique advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and the modernization of university governance, and through strengthening national organizational construction, promoting reforms in the governance structure of universities, enhancing the professional competence of university administrators, and conducting in-depth research on the modernization of university governance from the perspective of Marxist development, the advantages can be transformed into important prerequisites for the effectiveness of university governance, thereby promoting the process of modernization in university governance and enhancing the overall strength and competitiveness of universities.
