The Structure and Surface-Related Band Structure of γ-PtBi2
The important quantum material PtBi2 shows various novel physical properties, such as the giant magnetoresistance (GMR) effect, the 3D Rashba effect etc. as its being a topological semimetal and a two-dimensional topological insulator as well as the triple-degenerate-fermion carriers inside. It has significant potential in both of applied and fundamental research.
From the continuous exploration to the origin of the GMR effect in PtBi2, we studied the crystal structure and the energy band structure of γ-PtBi2. Some interesting phenomena were discovered consequently.
This book enriches the research of PtBi2 materials and provides solid structural information in understanding the many novel physical properties of PtBi2.
