As a core part of organizational commitment, affective commitment has drawn more and more attention from scholars and practitioners. Under the cultural background of “emphasis on affection” in China, it is more meaningful to explore the employees’ affective commitment. This paper introduces the concept of affective commitment, summarizes the antecedent variables that affect affective commitment, explains employees’ behavior and attitude that are affected by affective commitment, and finally makes a prospect of the study on affective commitment in the future.
