ABSTRACT

Since general secretary Xi Jinping has sent various messages to sports workers for many times, who has also made a series of discussions and instructions on the development of the country's sports cause, Xi Jinping's outlook on sports has been gradually formed with unique characteristics. Therefore, this paper tries to demonstrate the inevitability and rationality of Xi Jinping’s thought on sports. By the method of “thought building logic”, this paper explains the scientific connotation of Xi Jinping’s outlook on sports systematically, in order to reveal its value orientation in various aspects, including the inheritance and innovation of Marxist Sports Thoughts, leading the development of sports with Chinese characteristics, showing the national image of China in the international community and enriching Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
