Research on College English Reading Teaching Guided by Multimodal Theory

ABSTRACT

With the advent of the "Internet plus" era, the combination of multimedia technology and network technology has attracted much attention in the teaching of College English. The traditional single reading teaching based on reading and writing is no longer applicable. It is necessary to cultivate students' multi-modal reading ability in modern English reading teaching. Firstly, this paper makes an analysis of the multimodal theory, and then it analyses the necessity and importance of applying the multimodal theory to college English reading teaching. Finally, some suggestions are put forward.
