ABSTRACT

China and Russia, as large developing countries, are the second and the fifth largest economies in the world. They are not only friendly neighbors but also giant economies on the world stage. At the same time, since the 1990s, the development of trade between the two countries can be said to be proceeding in a tortuous manner, and internal and external challenges, such as fluctuations in international oil prices, European and American sanctions, and domestic economic structure, can’t be ignored The "Belt and Road" has undoubtedly provided new opportunities and injected new vitality into the development of trade cooperation between the two countries, and there is huge potential in the area of trade cooperation between China and Russia. Silk Road Economic Belt is an excellent opportunity for trade development between China and Russia. The construction of the Belt and Road can strengthen cooperation in the economic and trade fields, promote economic development of Northeast Asia, and change the pattern of global economic progress and can help the Chinese and Russian economies to a higher level. Based on the analysis of the development of Sino-Russian trade and the Sino-Russian trade relations under the "Belt and Road" , this paper explores the opportunities and challenges of sino-Russian trade development under the "Belt and Road" initiative Thus, it puts forward the idea of further developing Sino-Russian trade cooperation, and vigorously promotes the construction of "Belt and Road".
