ABSTRACT
The purpose of this paper is to study the impact of online movie rating on box office. Based on a movie dataset of IMDb, the relationship between IMDb rating, revenue and Metascore is analyzed. At the same time, through a case study analysis, the impact of other factors on the box office is also discussed. It is hoped that research results of this paper can provide some data support for the movie’s business decisions.
