ABSTRACT

E-commerce, as the product of information in the new era, is a fundamental revolution of traditional commerce. E-commerce not only reduces the cost of enterprises, but also greatly improves the efficiency of them. At the same time, it brings more choices for consumer investors and promotes the rapid development of economy. This article selects the data from 2003 to 2018 as the research sample, using statistical methods to quantify the level of e-commerce development, by using EG two-step method to conduct co-integration test on the two variables of e-commerce development level and GDP. Above these, error correction model is established to study the relationship between the two variables, testing the impact on the economy of the development of e-commerce. The empirical results show that the development of e-commerce has a long-term positive effect on economic growth.
