ABSTRACT

Sichuan and Chongqing, located in the Sichuan basin, are well known for various bamboo products including Porcelain bamboo weaving in Chengdu, Gong fan bamboo weaving in Zigong, bamboo painting screen in Liangping and water bamboo mat in Kaixian county. They are fine, elegant and simple in the nature. This paper, starting from the artistic characteristics of the bamboo compilation made in Sichuan and Chongqing, argue how to guide students to inherit their artistic spirit and cultivate their aesthetic taste in interior design courses.
