ABSTRACT

According to the data of the highway infrastructure construction and economic development from 1988 to 2017, a double-quantities VAR model was established to studied the long-term and short-term relationship between the two quantities of China's highway infrastructure construction and economic development. The research results show that the expressway construction index and economic development index are greatly disturbed by their own degree and influenced by each other's variables for a long time. The influence of highway construction on economic development is greater than that of economic development on highway infrastructure construction.
