ABSTRACT

The article briefly reviews the development process of the patent compulsory licensing system, and briefly describes the implementation of the patent compulsory licensing system for medicines in Thailand in order to protect the public health interests of the country under pressure from developed countries. It is pointed out that the role of the patent compulsory licensing system in practice is to protect the interests of vulnerable groups in a reasonable manner without prejudice to the interests of patentee.
