ABSTRACT

The role of international trade in promoting a country’s economic growth has always been one of the hot topics among economists, and the resulting theories and policies of international trade also vary from one to another. First of all, the literature on the theories of international trade by economists is reviewed. And then, different theories of trade are analyzed, and empirical analysis of the relationship between international trade and China’s economic growth is carried out. Finally, the characteristics of foreign trade in China are concluded, and relevant policy suggestions are made.
