ABSTRACT

With the development of asset securitization as a financial instrument in China, it has an impact on the liquidity, safety and profitability of banks. This paper selects data of 29 commercial banks in China from 2013 to 2020 to study the impact of credit asset securitization on banks' profitability. The empirical results show that carrying out credit asset securitization has a significant increase on commercial banks' profitability, while the profitability decreases instead of carrying out business with high frequency.
