Research on innovation and development of college physical education teaching under the background of developing students' core literacy

ABSTRACT

This article aims to explore the present situation, problems and innovative strategies of university PE teaching under the background of developing students' core literacy. Firstly, this article expounds the concept of core literacy and its importance to students' comprehensive development, and then points out the shortcomings in cultivating students' core literacy in current university PE teaching, and clarifies the research purpose and significance of this article. Through the research, it is found that the current PE teaching in universities lacks the sense of the times and innovation in content design, the instructional method is single, the assessment system is imperfect, and the professional quality of teachers needs to be improved. These problems have seriously restricted the role of PE teaching in universities in cultivating students' core literacy. Based on the above analysis, this article puts forward a series of innovative strategies, including reforming teaching content, innovating instructional methods and modes, reconstructing assessment system and improving the professional quality of teachers, so as to optimize the PE teaching system in universities and better serve the comprehensive development of students' core quality. In the future, universities should encourage continuous exploration and practice to continuously improve the quality and level of PE in universities.
