ABSTRACT

Under the background of the new era, the Communist Party of China(CPC) Central Committee and local governments have also made new instructions and requirements for the development of red cultural resources in the old revolutionary base areas, and the Ideological and political education(IPE) in colleges and universities has also had new goals and tasks, which have become the basic follow-up for the application of local red cultural resources in IPE in colleges and universities. Red resources, as a kind of high-quality educational resources, have the effect of educating people by senior officials. Therefore, it is particularly important to combine red resources with IPE in colleges and universities. Red resources contain the CPC people's lofty revolutionary spirit and fine cultural traditions, which provide rich educational and teaching resources for IPE in colleges and universities. Red resources play an important role in ideological guidance, political identification and moral demonstration in the process of integrating into ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities. Starting from the value of red resources, this paper analyzes the role it plays in the IPE of university students and the existing problems, and explores how to strengthen the effective use of red resources in the IPE of university students from the four angles of government, universities, society and university students.
