ABSTRACT
Against the backdrop of global climate change, achieving green and low-carbon goals has become an important mission that human society pursues together. Faced with this global challenge, higher education institutions, as the cradle for cultivating future pillars of society, have a particularly significant responsibility and must deeply participate and actively promote the widespread implementation of green and low-carbon concepts. With the rapid development and widespread application of information technology (IT), modern education reform has ushered in unprecedented opportunities. Online teaching mode, as a new type of education mode that transcends geographical space constraints, relies on the strong connectivity of the Internet, and uses computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices as teaching carriers to effectively display a variety of teaching contents. In this wave of change, public physical education (PE) courses in universities, as an important component of the school education system, also need to keep up with the pace of the times and actively respond to the call for green and low-carbon. This article aims to provide useful ideas and practical references for promoting the deep integration of PE teaching and environmental protection concepts by exploring the online teaching of public PE courses in universities under the guidance of green and low-carbon concepts.
