ABSTRACT

The paper is a detailed analysis of the application of “defamiliarization” technique to college English classes. After introducing the term “defamiliarization”, the paper continues to illustrate how this technique can be applied to the learning and teaching practice from the perspectives of environment defamiliarizaiton, identity defamiliarization and teaching method defamiliarization.
