ABSTRACT

With the deepening and promotion of the new round of education reform, ideological and political education has become the fundamental task of the current education work in all disciplines. The new curriculum education thought puts forward the construction idea of curriculum ideological and political education, which requires teachers to integrate ideological and political education content in subject teaching and promote the comprehensive development of students' personality quality. As an important contemporary language type, English is one of the main courses for students to learn. Based on the background of education in the new era, the development of education is not only to develop students' own knowledge literacy, but also to infiltrate the education of students' ideological cognition, moral quality and comprehensive literacy in the process of teaching activities. Based on this background, the construction of ideological and political education in the curriculum has become the main direction of the development of education. As a teacher, we must base on the actual nature of the English curriculum, deeply analyze the ideological and political education elements implied in the content of the English curriculum, integrate ideological and political education in classroom activities, and promote the landing and development of adult talent cultivation. This paper will focus on the ideological and political construction of English subject curriculum in colleges and universities.
