ABSTRACT

Huaying Gaoqiang is a traditional folk song that has been passed down in the Huaying Mountain area of northern Chongqing and eastern Sichuan. After more than three hundred years of development and evolution, it has gradually formed into a high pitched folk song with a unique appearance of Bashu. In 2011, it was selected into the Chongqing Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This article combines the historical origin and classification of Huaying Gaoqiang, focusing on analyzing the characteristics of "Chang Tuo qiang", dialect lyrics, and lyrics.
