ABSTRACT

Sociolinguistics delves into the nexus between language and society, striving to decipher the intricate relationship and reciprocal influence they share. Through the sociolinguistic lens, this study scrutinizes four cinematic works - 'To Kill a Mockingbird', 'The Vow', 'My Fair Lady', and 'Mansfield Park'. It seeks to illuminate how the symbiosis of language and society manifests within the realm of film art, and explores the concurrent mutual impact. Moreover, by dissecting these four films, the study aims to offer a comprehensive and nuanced perspective, thereby enriching the audience's comprehension of this crucial interplay.
