As a unique artistic expression in China for thousands of years, traditional lacquer art embodies profound historical accumulation and cultural connotations. This article delves into the inheritance of traditional lacquer art in modern design education, seeking ways to rejuvenate this ancient art form within contemporary design. By seeking an organic fusion of tradition and modernity, it is hoped that the distinctive charm of traditional lacquer art can be revitalized and integrated into innovative contemporary design, injecting new vitality into this ancient craft. The preservation and inheritance of traditional lacquer art can also ignite a sense of responsibility among modern designers, encouraging them to invest more enthusiasm into practices that merge tradition and modernity in design.
