ABSTRACT

With the continuous development of globalization and the increasing frequency of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries, the cultivation of intercultural communication awareness is of vital significance for students in an important stage of English learning. How to improve students' awareness and ability to cross-culture communication in English teaching is a major challenge that colleges and universities face at present. This paper, taking the cross-cultural awareness in college English teaching as the breakthrough point, analyzes the necessity of its existence and the existing problems in the current cross-cultural education in college English Teaching in our country. On this basis, it puts forward some corresponding improvement measures, and hopes to have certain positive impact of penetration and cultivation of cross-cultural awareness on college English teaching.
