ABSTRACT
This article has performed the empirical test in relationship between industrial structure and economic growth of Shanxi during 1978 to 2012 with the econometric analysis method of VAR model. The result points to the fact: In a long term, there is a stable balance between industrial structure and economic growth in Shanxi; Industrial structure plays a significant role in economic growth, but this kinds of influence requires a long time to show; The structural change of primary industrial always shows an opposite change direction to its economic growth. It aims to bring forward some guiding advice for making a rational industrial policy, ultimately, to make contribution to economic growth.
