ABSTRACT
Arinori Mori was a famous thinker and educator in Meiji period in Japan, and played an important role in the establishment of Japanese kindergarten. This paper introduces Arinori Mori's experience of investigating the development of kindergarten education in the United States, and explains Arinori Mori's outstanding contributions to kindergarten education in Japan in introducing the concept of free education, providing valuable books, and creating practical programs.
