ABSTRACT
This article provides an analysis of economic growth and poverty in India. Despite being middle-income countries, India still has relatively high levels of poverty among their populations. The Social structures of their societies have allowed poverty to grow and maintain a strong hold over its nation. This article analyzes the reason and ways how the rapid growth of India’s economic power after a long period of stagnation has provided the impetus for the growth of the world economy and has contributed greatly to the eradication of poverty and population control in the world. It can be said that India is on the rise, and this is due to its unique development model. It also examines the extent and determinants of poverty.
