ABSTRACT

This study addresses the challenges of replenishment and pricing strategies for vegetable categories in supermarkets, considering the impact of a short shelf life on product quality. Employing Spearman correlation analysis, the paper investigate the relationships and distribution patterns among the sales volumes of different vegetable categories. With the overarching objective of profit maximization and focusing on the interplay between total sales volume and cost-plus pricing for various categories, we leverage theoretical frameworks such as K-Means clustering analysis and a simple exponential smoothing model. The resulting model is solved using tools like MATLAB, SPSSPRO, RStudio, etc. The derived replenishment and pricing strategies for each vegetable category offer substantial implications for enhancing supermarket operating profits.
