ABSTRACT

The world is becoming increasingly globalized, and how to maintain the traditional Chinese culture and carry forward and inherit it in the intermingling of different cultures has become a popular research topic. Chongqing, as a first-tier city in China, has its own city style and has the obligation and ability to show its elegance, while the Dazu Rock Carvings are the only world cultural heritage in Chongqing, and its development of its international image is crucial to promote the development of tourism in Chongqing, as well as to promote the development and spread of religious culture in the international arena. From the perspective of Skopos theory, this paper mainly discusses the problems and enlightenments in the foreign translation of some caves in Beishan Rock Carvings and Nanshan Rock Carvings in Dazu Rock Carvings.
