ABSTRACT

Popular Science English (PSE) plays a pivotal role in disseminating knowledge to diverse audiences, bridging the gap between scientific discourse and the general public. Recognizing the intricate linguistic features of PSE, including specialized terminology, scientific narrative styles, and the need for accessibility, this study identifies multifaceted challenges in translation, such as managing cultural nuances, dealing with technical jargon, and maintaining the engaging style. Then, drawing upon thorough analysis and a wealth of examples, this research unveils a range of translation strategies to facilitate the conversion of PSE from source language to target language.
