This paper focuses on second language teaching in colleges and universities, defines the current situation of task-based English teaching, and puts forward specific strategies based on the current situation, so as to provide students with a more practical and interesting learning experience, help students master language skills, and cultivate students' ability of cooperation, independent learning and problem solving.
