This article discusses strategies and the importance of integrating ideological and political education into the teaching of computational materials science. The goal is to enhance students' ethical thinking, scientific research capabilities, and sense of social responsibility while cultivating their course skills. The paper introduces the fundamental theories of computational materials science, the methods of integrating ideological and political education, and ways to achieve this objective through course design, practical activities, and case studies. The significance of this educational model in cultivating well-rounded scientific and technological talents is emphasized.
